Sanitary CI Series

Sanitary CI Series with Quick-Clean RotorRail™

The CI Series airlock features RotorRail™ technology, which facilitates disassembly and ensures accurate reassembly of the rotor and endplate. With no internal crevices and joints, the CI airlock’s quick-clean design saves time and effort when it comes to meeting industry standards for inspection and sanitization.

Standard features

  • Cast with superior solidification and metallurgy, the 304 or 316 stainless steel housing eliminates pits and dimples where contaminants could accumulate.
  • All rotor surfaces and product-contact surfaces of the housing are a No. 4 finish.
  • Cleaning, validation and inspection are easy with tool-less, single-step access to the rotor and internal surfaces.
  • RotorRail™ technology maintains rotor–endplate alignment during disassembly and ensures precise realignment during reassembly.
  • The Run-Clean™ design includes angled surfaces, rounded edges and factory-applied internal coatings to reduce material buildup in the housing.
  • Valves are available in seven heights (10” to 44”) and seven square-flange sizes (6” to 18”).
  • CNC-machined components and housing provide precision tolerances, eliminate axial shaft movement and extend maintenance cycles.
  • The outboard-bearing design protects bearings in high-temperature and high-PSIG applications, as well as removes bearings from the direct path of damaging contaminants.
  • CI-Series airlocks easily manage pressure differentials up to 15 PSIG.
  • CI-Series airlocks deliver excellent performance in applications up to 500°F.
  • Every CI-Series airlock features an 8-vane rotor with beveled tips and sides.

Optional features

  • 304, 304L, 316, 316L or 2205 cast stainless steel valve housing.

  • Interior coatings: hard chrome, tungsten, nickel and epoxy.
  • Rotor types: closed-end, metering, shallow-pocket, adjustable-tip and Teflon®-coated.
  • Adjustable rotor tips: bronze, hardened steel and stainless steel.
  • Shaft seal types: glandless Teflon® shaft seal and packing gland.
  • Valve housing vent ports.
  • Round flange design.
  • 6-vane, 10-vane or 12-vane rotor.
  • Custom drive packages.
